The community has a certain penchant for snipers when it comes to manshooters. Whether fired “No-Scope” at a few meters or precisely shot from hundreds of meters away, the scoped rifle has seen great versatility in video games. We haven’t seen many that focus solely on that weapon, however. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 just so happens to be one of them, with all the jungle stalking and voyeurism you’d expect.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is developed by City Interactive for a plethora of platforms: PC, PS3, Xbox 360, WiiU and (surprisingly) PlayStation Vita. The predecessor has been met with a mixed response, with many leaning towards unfavorability. Obviously the studio is aware of this and the developers have implemented a couple of design changes. The game is planned for a January release so we’ll be finding out very soon what those are first-hand.
